POAC presents Sexuality & Hygiene for Adolescents: Adolescence can be a difficult time for children and families, and can be especially difficult for children with developmental disabilities and their families. This presentation will provide an overview of the specific challenges present during puberty and adolescence, specifically issues of sexuality and hygiene. Strategies for increasing independence in grooming, hygiene, health, and dressing will be reviewed. In addition, issues and strategies surrounding sexuality, modesty, privacy, boundaries and personal safety will be discussed. Register at www.poac.net.
