Dr. Michael E Rothman of Wellness MD and Spa in East Brunswick will conduct a discussion titled, "The Power of Nutrition, How the Foods You Are Eating Are Making You Sick.” Nutrition is the process of absorbing food and using it for growth, repair and for replacement of tissues. Everyday there’s a new study reported telling us that one thing or another helped people reduce their risk of getting this or that condition or disease.
This can be very confusing, but worse yet, much of this information is designed to help sell a product. Most of us don’t have the luxury of our own personal nutritionist at our disposal so eating right is a challenge. What’s right for you may not be right for someone else. Learn the ins and outs of sound nutrition. Why are so many people overweight? Why do some suffer from heart disease or high blood pressure? Arthritis? Cancer? Allergies? Other diseases?
What you eat is extraordinarily important in determining your state of health. Learn why some foods are good for you and why some aren’t. Learn some simple steps that can help you and your family to stay healthy by attending this discussion.
Resgistration is required for this free program. To register, please call the library at 732-583-9100 or stop by and fill out a flyer located near the Circulation Desk.
