OLD BRIDGE, NJ — On Monday night, April 21, ten families in Old Bridge Township lost everything — for some, including their pets — when a fire tore through Building 3 of the Madison Arms apartment complex.

The fire broke out at 9:17 p.m. on the 300 block of Rellim Drive, and rose to four-alarm status. It started in a ground-floor apartment and quickly spread to upstairs and neighboring units. In total, 10 apartments were destroyed.

Residents said they had to get out so fast they were not even able to put on shoes.
