Howell Man Accused Of Old Bridge Bank Robbery July 6

This same man is also accused of robbing two banks in Lakewood:

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — This man is accused of robbing a bank in Old Bridge on July 6, and he has now been charged with robbing two additional banks in Lakewood in June.

Lakewood Police say Ivan Sevastianow, 67, of Howell, tried to rob the Wells Fargo in Lakewood on June 30. He handed the teller a note demanding money; she denied his request and he walked across the intersection to the TD Bank on Madison Avenue.

The TD Bank teller handed over about $1,500 in cash and Sevastianow left.

Lakewood Police Officer Alex Guzman Jr. learned that Old Bridge Police arrested a man on July 7 in connection to a bank robbery that had just occurred in that town. Further investigation confirmed the man — identified as Sevastianow — was also responsible for the crimes in Lakewood, said police.

Sevastianow is currently being held at the Middlesex County Jail.
