Lloyd Road Student Athlete Excels at Gymnastics

Grace Costello practices gymnastics five days a week for at least four hours a day, a routine that has definitely paid off.

Costello, a fourth grader at , is ranked fifth in all of New Jersey in gymnastics for her age and level. She enjoys gymnastics and traveling to places like Texas, Maryland and Pennsylvania.

Costello's favorite subject is math and, according to her teacher Mrs. P. Cottrell, she is a role model to other students and makes school a priority despite her busy schedule.

Costello was recognized by the Board of Education meeting on Oct. 19 and led the community in the flag salute at the start of the board's meeting.

The Lloyd Road Band, under the direction of Lyn Lewis and Susanne Hughes, was also recognized. The band played before the meeting while students and parents browsed art work from various fifth grade classes on display around the cafeteria.
