Man Hit, Killed By Car In Sayreville Tuesday Night
It appears the man crossed in an area where there was no crosswalk, and was hit by a car headed east on Washington Road, said Sayreville PD.
SAYREVILLE, NJ — A 50-year-old man was hit by a car and killed Tuesday night in Sayreville, said police in that town.
The man was struck at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Washington Road and Walling Street. Upon arrival, officers McMahon and Ahmed found the man lying in the road unconscious with no pulse.
They immediately began CPR. Sayreville EMS and paramedics took the man to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, where he was pronounced dead.

It appears the man crossed the roadway in an area where there was no crosswalk, and was hit by a car headed eastbound on Washington Road, said Sayreville Police.
The driver remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

The victim is identified as a 50-year-old white male. His name is being withheld until his next of kin can be properly notified. No summons have been issued at this time however, the accident investigation is continuing.
