Men Sprayed Gas Station Attendant In Face With Pepper Spray At Sayreville Gas Station

SAYREVILLE, NJ — There was a robbery at the Delta gas station in Sayreville Jan. 16, said police in that town.

This is the Delta gas station on Main Street, near River Road. At 8::44 p.m. that night, a Friday, two suspects approached the attendant and sprayed him with pepper spray in his face. They then stole the cash that he was carrying.

Both suspects were only described as wearing dark clothing. They filed on foot toward Hillside Ave.

"Patrol officers responded quickly and saturated the area; however, the suspects were not located. We are urging community members who may have witnessed this incident or who reside in the vicinity to review their security camera footage. The time frame for which we are seeking information is between 8:15 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.," said the Sayreville Police Dept.
