Middle School Students Honored for Perfect Math Scores on NJ ASK

Multiple Matawan Aberdeen Middle School students earned perfect scores of 300 on the math portion of the NJ ASK (New Jersey Assesment of Skills and Knowledge), a standardized test in New Jersey designed to show how well students are achieving in the areas required the State’s Core Curriculum Content Standards.

"No doubt about it, this success is the result of hard work and unwavering dedication," said Charles Kenny, the Board of Education president. "Congratulations to all the students, teachers and families who helped reach this accomplishment."

Matawan Aberdeen Middle School Principal Tyler Blackmore called students up one by one and recongnized them with a certificate of achievement at the Board of Education's Nov. 1 meeting.

"This type of success is part of what makes our district great," said Superintendent David Healy.

The Board of Education plans to recognize students who earned perfect scores while in 3rd, 4th and 8th grade at the Nov. 28 regular action meeting.
