SAYREVILLE, NJ — A detective described a Sayreville strip club as a "family-run prostitution ring" in an affidavit filed with the arrest of the club's owner.

Patch obtained the affidavits of probable cause filed with the arrests of five members of the Acciardi family, who own Club XXXV (Club 35) in Sayreville. An employee, Jennifer Hecker, was also arrested earlier in June.

"The prostitution business has generated millions of dollars in revenue, which the targets of this investigation have largely failed to report as taxable income," Detective Pascone wrote.

"The investigation has revealed that these crimes and evidence of these crimes have a high probability of being in locations in both Middlesex and Monmouth counties," Pascone wrote.

Pascone also said the club offers alcohol for purchase illegally.

On June 22, the Middlesex Prosecutor's Office announced the arrests of Hecker and four members of the Acciardi family. Anthony Sr., 58; his wife Doreen, 55; and their son Anthony Jr., 29, who lives in Old Bridge, were all charged with first-degree money laundering, second-degree promoting organized street crime, third-degree promoting prostitution and other criminal offenses.

All three have previously been identified in these legal filings as principal owners of the strip club.

The Acciardis' daughter, Angela Mancini, 32, who lives in Colts Neck, was also criminally charged with first-degree money laundering and second-degree conspiracy.

Affidavits show a fifth member of the Acciardi family, 24-year-old Stephen of Freehold Township, faces prostitution and money laundering charges as well.

In May of 2021, state investigators executed a search warrant at Club 35 and said evidence of prostitution was uncovered. Three of the strip club employees, including Hecker, were charged with promoting prostitution.

Pascone wrote that Hecker had solicited undercover officers after that 2021 arrest, and said detectives got more evidence of prostitution at Club 35.
