Old Bridge Man Arrested In Child Porn Investigation

He posed as a 17-year-old boy on Snapchat, said the Middlesex County Prosecutor.

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — An Old Bridge man posed as a 17-year-old boy on Snapchat, using pictures and video he stole from another teen online, said Middlesex County Prosecutor Linda Estremera.

Daniel Berwick, 39, was arrested Wednesday as a result of a child pornography investigation conducted by the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor received a cyber tip from the New Jersey State Police. Berwick was arrested without incident Wednesday at his home in Old Bridge. Police had a search warrant to search his home computers.

Berwick was charged with first-degree Production of Child Sexual Abuse Material, second-degree Manufacturing of Child Sexual Abuse Material, second-degree Aggravated Sexual Extortion, second-degree Possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material, third-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child, third-degree Using Deceptive Audio/Video Files to Further a Crime, and third-degree Distributing Obscene Material to a Child.

He's currently being held at the Middlesex County Jail.
