Old Bridge Man Sold Heroin, Crack Cocaine On New Brunswick Streets: PD

This Old Bridge man was selling heroin and crack cocaine on New Brunswick city streets, says the Middlesex County Prosecutor.

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — Last Thursday, a months-long investigation by the Middlesex County Prosecutor's office led to the arrest of an Old Bridge man, who police say was selling crack cocaine and heroin on the streets of New Brunswick.

After months of surveillance, Elijah Parker, 35, of the Parlin section of Old Bridge, was arrested in New Brunswick by members of the Middlesex County Narcotics Task Force, with assistance from New Brunswick Police.

This comes after he was observed engaging in several suspected hand-to-hand drug sales that day in New Brunswick, said Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.

Parker attempted to flee the scene on foot last Thursday, but was apprehended immediately by New Brunswick police officers and county detectives, and taken into custody.

At the time of his arrest, Parker was found with two loaded 9mm handguns in his possession (with no serial numbers, so they are untraceable "ghost guns"), approximately 70 folds of heroin, several grams of crack-cocaine and approximately 1,200 dollars in cash, said Ciccone.

He was charged with multiple drug charges and illegal weapons possession.
