Perth Amboy Taxi Driver Accused Of Sexually Touching Female Passenger
A taxi driver from Sayreville is accused of sexually assaulting a female passenger multiple times this past Saturday, July 1 in Perth Amboy:

PERTH AMBOY, NJ — A taxi driver from Sayreville is accused of sexually assaulting a female passenger multiple times this past Saturday, July 1, said Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Perth Amboy Police Chief Larry Cattano.
Andrew S. Giannetto, 69, of Sayreville, has been taken into police custody and is charged with kidnapping and aggravated criminal sexual contact.
On Saturday, July 1, the adult woman said she was approached by an unknown adult man operating a 2016 silver Kia Soul, who told her he was a taxi driver. He then drove her to various locations and committed several acts of sexual contact.

An investigation by Perth Amboy Police Detective Omar Rivera and Detective Lauren Leyva, of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office identified Giannetto as the perpetrator.
Giannetto was charged with one count of first-degree kidnapping and one count of third-degree aggravated criminal sexual contact. Giannetto was arrested without incident the next day, Sunday, and is currently being held at the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center pending the results of his pre-trial detention hearing.
