Matawan-Aberdeen Regional School District Seeks New Principal, 3 Teachers
The school district is looking to fill several positions for the upcoming school year.
The 2012-2013 school year will feature many new faces, and not just among students. According to AppliTrack, the web-based software used by the district for career opportunities, several administration and teaching positions are vacant. These openings follow a somewhat turbulent few months of resignations and rotations.
The district is currently looking for a new principal, a result of Luigi Laugelli's after just one year of filling the position. Laugelli replaced the upper elementary school's longtime principal Patricia O'Keefe after her retirement last year. A new right before Laugelli's resignation was announced in June. Three teaching spots are also open, including music and English teaching positions at MAMS and a chemistry teacher position at Matawan Regional High School. The district is also looking for a new director of math and science K-12, who will form part of the central office administration.
