"His family will be traveling from NYC to Aberdeen to help search for him around the area, but because they are not from the area, it would be nice to get others from the community to help around," said family friend Shereen Zakzok.

"Over the last few days the Ukperaj family is living in limbo, fluctuating between hope of a happy reunion with their loved one or even simply learning what had happened. They have no resolution or closure to enable them to move on and the emotional impact is significant."

"Amet Ukperaj is diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and is currently NOT taking his medication, which can result in multiple sclerosis relapse. He left his residence in the area of Lloyd Road at 9:30 a.m. March 3, with no access to a cell phone, any form of identification or a vehicle. ALL HELP is appreciated!!!"

He had only recently moved to Aberdeen, they say. Aberdeen Police say he was last seen March 2; the family says it was actually March 3.

Amet is 5’9” approximately 145lb. He was last seen wearing a black NorthFace jacket, a dark grey hooded sweatshirt, dark grey sweatpants and black sneakers. Amet has no access to a cellphone, any form of identification or a vehicle. Amet is only known to be carrying a Citi Bank card.

Anyone who knows his whereabouts are asked to please contact the Aberdeen Township Police Department 732-566-2054
