MATAWAN, NJ — The SETS Hybrid Training gym in Matawan is relocating to a bigger new space, moving into the Rt. 9 AutoZone Plaza in Old Bridge.
SETS will most likely be moved into their new Old Bridge home by the end of February/early March, said Ryan Bailey, owner/operator of the franchise.
The gym opened three years ago on Rt. 516 in Matawan and said it has "grown significantly" since then and needs a bigger space.

Bailey also revealed he will be opening his second SETS Hybrid Training studio in Middletown, in the Livoti's Old World Market shopping complex; a fall 2023 opening is planned.
SETS Hybrid Training is circuit-based group training, similar to CrossFit. The 50-minute, coach-led sessions focus on a continual combination of strength and high-intensity cardio.

“Our new space at the Rt. 9 Plaza is double the size of our existing location, which is very exciting both for our members and coaches,” said Bailey. “We look forward to welcoming new and existing members to this larger studio. The additional space will allow us to increase our class capacity and gives our coaches more room to be creative when coming up with different fitness activities and challenges for our members.”
The Rt. 9 Plaza in Old Bridge is located at the intersection of Rt. 9 and Throckmorton Lane and is home to the AutoZone, Tots & Blocks Academy and a hair salon. Levin Management Corporation negotiated the lease on the landlord’s behalf
