South Amboy Man Paid Girl, 16, For Sex Photos, Videos: Feds

SOUTH AMBOY, NJ — A South Amboy man was arrested Wednesday, after U.S. Attorneys said he induced a 16-year-old girl to send him sexually explicit pictures and videos.

The man is Jeremy Greenwald, 45, of South Amboy.

The teen girl lives outside New Jersey and the two met on an online chat app, unnamed.

From May 2022 through February 2023, the two chatted online. At Greenwald’s request, the teen girl created and sent Greenwald images and videos of herself engaging in sexually explicit conduct, said police. He directed the teen girl to perform certain sexual activities, and Greenwald purchased and sent the teen girl items to use during the videos, including sex toys, lingerie and costumes.

Greenwald paid the teen girl for the videos of herself. He sent her payments of $7 and $10 at a time, say authorities. Here is the criminal complaint against him.

He is charged with one count of sexual exploitation of a child, one count of online enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual conduct and one count of receipt of child pornography.
