Unique Hot Dogs Now Served In Old Bridge
Ever heard of a Snap Dog? They're now served at Nikki's Dawgs on Rt. 516 west at Rebels Football Field.

OLD BRIDGE, NJ — Ever had a Snap Dog? Snap Dog, the hot dog with its name on it, debuted its new location in Old Bridge Saturday, with the opening of Nikki's Dawgs on Rt. 516 west at Rebels Football Field.
Snap Dogs was founded by Keith Dorman, who yes, really used to work a hot dog cart vendor on 55th and Broadway in New York City. That's where he realized the public has no way of telling what kind of hot dog they’re really getting. Is it made from chicken, beef or pork?
“It’s like this big mystery,” he said.

Dorman solved the hot dog identity crisis by putting the logo "Snap Dogs" on every hot dog they produce, so consumers can always know they're getting a 100 percent beef hot dog. The company does it without using any dyes and/or colorings.
Nikki's Dawgs at Rebels Field is owned by Nicole Ruiz and Craig Cordero.

“Old Bridge has high standards for hot dogs. We can’t wait to introduce the town to authentic Snap Dogs," said Cordero, who works as a straddle crane operator in Port Elizabeth.
He has an extensive food background: He formerly owned the Celebrity Deli in Union and La Famiglia Pizzeria in Long Branch. Ruiz previously worked at Lioni Latticini Inc. in Union. Both Cordero and Ruiz grew up in Union.

Nikki’s Dawgs will be operating Mondays-Saturdays at Rebel's Field and will be serving Snap Dogs in three varieties: natural casing, spicy sausage and skinless. Snap Dogs are made from premium beef and cooked the old-fashioned way, in a real smokehouse.
