2-Day Pickball Tournament In Mendham Will Benefit High School Seniors

The event will raise money for scholarships for West Morris Mendham High School seniors.

MENDHAM, NJ — The Rotary Club of the Mendhams is inviting residents to a two-day pickleball fundraiser on April 11 and April 12 to support college scholarships for West Morris Mendham High School graduating seniors. The club said the event, which is being held at West Morris Mendham High School, will include competitive play, social play, and lessons for new players.

According to the announcement, the fundraiser is open to all skill levels. New players can take part in group lessons, while more experienced players can register for competitive intermediate, advanced beginner, or social intermediate play.

Mendham resident Michele Dabal, a professional instructor and enthusiastic ambassador for the sport, is donating her time to organize this event for Rotary, according to the announcement.

Dabal owns MD Pickleball Academy and runs tournaments throughout the area. She is also the former co-founder and director of the All State Pickleball League, which has more than 2,000 members competing across New Jersey and parts of New York and Pennsylvania.

The posted schedule lists competitive intermediate play from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on each day. A new players group lesson and advanced beginner play are both scheduled from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Social intermediate play is scheduled from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Registration is online here. The club encouraged residents to “grab a paddle, rally your friends, and help Mendham Rotary raise funds!”
