Changes To Mendham Twp Board of Ed Official
Rick Pappalardo "retires" as Fion Wood accepts seat.

While not officially replacing Rick Pappalardo, that will be the conclusion drawn by many as Fion Wood was elected into one of the two vacancies on April 17. The other was filled by incumbent Andrew Christmann.
For his part, Wood was grateful for the opportunity to serve his community given to him by his neighbors.
"I want to say thank you to the Mendham Township community for electing me to the Board of Education," Wood said. "I am grateful to all those who voted on Tuesday and am honored to be able to be directly involved in the development and continuous improvement of the Mendham Township school district."

On the district's website, a statement on Pappalardo's decision to leave the board was posted just after the results were tallied.
"The Board of Education honors Mr. Rick Pappalardo for his dedication to the children of the Mendham Township School District as he “retires” from the Board of Education. Mr. Pappalardo served nine years on the Board and served as Vice-President of the Board for two years. Thank you to Mr. Pappalardo for his commitment to our schools and community."
