CHESTER, NJ - The Chester Volunteer Fire Company will soon have a new engine in service and the CVFC Truck committee got a sneak peak at it.

The CVFC Truck committee went out to Pierce Manufacturing doing the final inspection on the new engine 1. This engine will serve the residents of Chester for years to come, officials said.

Since 1921, Chester’s Fire Company has been 100 percent volunteer, non-profit organizations, with every member a resident of the community. In addition to emergency response, they participate in mandatory, ongoing state training and host many community service projects including, Fire Prevention demonstrations at local schools, basement pumping, and the Fireman's Carnival.
