Three towns combine to investigate, arrest Butler man, police report.

A three-town investigation has come to an end with help from the Chester Borough Police Department into the alleged distribution of steroids by a Morris County man, police announced.

On Thursday, July 9, Detectives with the Chester Borough Police, Butler Police, and Kinnelon Police Department apprehended Christopher E. Casale, 38, of Butler, who was taken into custody without incident, Det. Shaun Horst said.

After Casale was taken into custody, detectives seized a large quantity of pills, needles, syringes, and vials of steroids from the man’s home, Horst said.

“Operations like this require the utmost cooperation between law enforcement officers and in this particular instance, I could not have asked for a better outcome,” said Chief David Jara. “Local law enforcement must rely on other agencies, especially smaller departments like ourselves.

Police would not explain why Chester was involved in the investigation, only that the operation started with the local agency, Horst said.
