On August 23, 2020 at approximately 20:30 hours the Chester Police Department responded to a call regarding a bite situation involving a potentially rabid raccoon in the vicinity of Larison Road and Pleasant Hill Road in Chester Township.

Anyone who came into contact with a raccoon on the date and location described above should contact the Washington Township Health Department at 908-876-3650 during business hours or through the Chester Township Police Department at 908-879-5514.
