Chester Students Donate STEM Materials To Children's Hospital
Seven middle schoolers worked together to donate fun science projects to Goryeb Children's Hospital in Morristown.

CHESTER, NJ— Seven Chester students banded together to create and donate carts filled with science, technology engineering and math (STEM) supplies to a local children's hospital.
The Black River Middle School students worked together to design and fundraise for the carts. Scarlet Kitts, Sean Smith, Daniel and Michael Catrambone, Caitlin Joyce, Genna Smith, and Drew Cembrinski worked together as part of a team named Entourage, answering the question, "How can STEM make an impact?"
Their "STEM 4 THEM" initiative brings STEM to the Goryeb Children’s Hospital in Morristown. The team fundraised over $1,300 and boxes of donations. They stocked colorful carts with supplies for fun projects, like slime, putty and lava lamps.

“We knew how much we loved working a STEM project, and wanted to share it with other kids,” the team said. They wanted to make long term hospital stays easier by providing fun activities.
Children's Specialized Hospital in Mountainside will receive the team's next cart.
