Chester Township Menorah Lighting Ceremony Coming Up

CHESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ— Chester Township will hold their annual Hanukkah Menorah lighting ceremony on Tuesday, Dec 27.

After the ceremony, there will be latkes, sufganiot, music, and raffles. The ceremony is being sponsored by the Chabad Jewish Center, and will begin at 5:30 p.m. at Gazebo Park on Main St.

“It is a holiday that enriches our lives with the light of tradition,” says Rabbi Yaacov Shusterman, director of the Chabad Jewish Center. “In ancient times our ancestors rededicated the Temple in Jerusalem with the Menorah. Today, we rededicate ourselves to making this world a better and brighter place.”
