Chester Woman Honored By School For 'Extraordinary Leadership'
The school's fundraiser will celebrate the contributions of a Chester resident and its former Executive Director.
CHESTER, NJ — A Chester woman will be recognized next month for her "extraordinary leadership" in her time with P.G. Chambers School in Hanover.
P.G. Chambers School will host its 31st annual Menus for the Mind fundraiser on April 16. The event will take place at The Park Avenue Club in Florham Park, NJ. This year, the school will honor Chester resident Patty Sly, its retired Executive Director, for her leadership and impact on the institution.
Patty Sly is recognized for her dedication to P.G. Chambers School’s programs and services during her tenure. Her work in nonprofit leadership and commitment to children and families helped shape the school. The school stated that her efforts contributed to its current community.

Chad Hymas, a National Speaker Hall of Fame inductee and author, will be the featured speaker. Hymas is known for his storytelling and message of resilience. His keynote address will focus on perseverance, hope, and community, which align with the school's mission. The P.G. Chambers School aims to empower children with complex disabilities.
“Menus for the Mind is a celebration of possibility for the families we serve,” said now-Executive Director Adam Kerins. “The financial commitment of our community of donors ensures that every child at P.G. Chambers School receives the specialized education, therapies, and individualized care they need to achieve milestones once thought impossible.”

Patty Capawana of Union, NJ, and Susan Lodge of Bernardsville, NJ, are co-chairing the Menus for the Mind event. The MCJ Amelior Foundation and the Farris Family Charitable Trust are among the Passionate Leaders supporting the event. Numerous other community supporters also contribute to its success.
