BOONTON, NJ — A body has been found in a Boonton park Tuesday afternoon, a spokesperson for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office confirmed.

The spokesperson confirmed the body of a man was found, but declined to elaborate, citing an active investigation. The body was found floating in a Grace Lord Park body of water by a fellow park-goer, NJ.com reported. The park is near the Rockaway River waterfalls, but it's not clear how the body entered the water.

The cause and manner of death are still under investigation, the Prosecutor's Office said, and the identity is being withheld until the family is notified.
