Drunk Man With Knife Arrested At Ice Cream Shop: Chester Police

Police say the man took the knife from the kitchen.

CHESTER, NJ — A drunk man with a large knife in his pocket was arrested at a Chester ice cream shop over the weekend, Chester Police said.

Mark F. Ferreira, 47, of Roselle Park, was arrested on Saturday night at Taylor's Ice Cream on Main Street. According to police, Ferreira took a large kitchen knife with a wooden handle from the shop's kitchen and threatened another person with it.

Police say they found Ferreira sitting in the kitchen with the knife in his pocket, and that he showed signs of intoxication.

Ferreira was charged with theft by unlawful taking, unlawful possession of a weapon and disorderly conduct. He was released with an upcoming court date.
