Former NBA Player, Recovering Addict To Speak At Mendham High School

Chris Herren to give talk on years of addiction and how it ruined his professional basketball career.

MENDHAM, N.J. – The battle of addiction is never-ending, and a cautionary tale that must be conveyed to today’s youth.

The Minutemen Sports Club wants Mendham High School students to understand that, and is pleased to bring in former NBA player Chris Herren of The Herren Project.

Herren, a former college standout and McDonald’s All-American in high school lost his dream of playing in the NBA to addiction. Like so many other teens it began with alcohol and marijuana, but over the years escalated into harder drugs and extreme addiction.
