Fire Tears Through Morris Co. Home, Multiple Agencies Respond

MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A Morris County home was up in flames this week, prompting a multi-agency response to suppress the fire.

On Wednesday, around noon, firefighters were called to a Roxbury home near Pleasant Hill Road on reports of a house fire.

The second-alarm fire engulfed the home and practically melted the car parked in the driveway.

According to the Chester Volunteer Fire Company, which responded to the blaze, firefighters battled the flames for roughly two hours before they were extinguished.

The Roxbury Township Fire Department extended "a sincere thank you to all of our mutual aid companies who responded to assist with our residential structure fire."

No injuries were reported from the flames.
