Labor Day Parade, Celebration Planned In Mendham Borough
Several nearby activities will take place this weekend as the summer nears a close.
MENDHAM, NJ — Residents will bid farewell to summer as the season unofficially ends with Labor Day weekend, but there's still nearby family fun available.
Mendham Borough will host a Labor Day carnival at Borough Park this weekend, beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 2 and lasting until Monday, Sept. 5.
Numerous kid-friendly activities, including rides, games, food, and prizes, will be available at the carnival.

The Labor Day Fireworks, presented by The Pastime Club, will take place at Borough Park on Monday, Sept. 5, with Saturday, Sept. 10, serving as a rain date.
The start of the fireworks is scheduled for between 9:30 and 10 p.m.

The Labor Day Parade will start at 10 a.m. on Monday at East Main Street and Mountain Avenue. Former Mayor Neil Henry will be the Grand Marshall this year and will have his own "Walk of Fame" at the base of the gazebo.
According to police, road closures on Rt. 24 and Mountain Avenue will begin around 9:30 a.m., so plan ahead of time and follow the posted detours.
