Meet Abigail Adams at the Mendham Township Library

Visit the Mendham Township Library for a program that offers all of the benefits of meeting a historical figure, without the pesky butterfly effect/time paradox side effects of an actual quantum leap.

On Thursday, March 8 from 7:00-8:00 p.m.  the is offering the community a chance to meet Abigail Adams and interact with American history with a presentation from the American Historical Theatre titled, Abigail Adams, Dearest Friend.

Abigail Smith Adams was an educated upper class woman whose well-articulated opinions on government, politics, and life in general were sought by at least two American presidents:  her husband President John Adams and her son President John Quincy Adams.  Abigail’s biggest causes were education and fairer treatment of women.  She was a woman who calls it like she sees it.  She advocated discussion and usually received respect.  Abigail Adams married a man she respected, a life partner who took her seriously.  Come meet “Abigail Adams” at the Mendham Township Library.

This program is funded by the Horizon Speakers Bureau of the New Jersey Council for the Humanities, a state partner of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
