Mendham Borough School District 2015-16 Calendar

An earlier than usual start to the 2015-16 school year kicks off the most important family calendar in town, as Mendham Borough students get back in the classroom on Thursday, September 3.

Patch took a look at the district’s calendar and created this easy-to-use breakdown of the new school year.

Important dates, by month:

• September 3: First Day of School
• September 7: Labor Day, School Closed
• September 14: Rosh Hashanah, School Closed
• September 23: Yom Kippur, School Closed
• October 12: Columbus Day Weekend, Staff Inservice, Schools Closed
• November 5, 6: NJEA Convention, Schools Closed
• November 18-20: Early Dismissal
• November 25: Early Dismissal
• November 26, 27: Thanksgiving Break, Schools Closed
• December 23: Early Dismissal
• December 24-31: Winter Break, School Closed
• January 1: Winter Break, School Closed
• January 18: Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, School Closed
• February 12, 15: Presidents’ Day Weekend, School Closed
• March 25-31: Spring Break, School Closed
• April 1: Spring Break, School Closed
• May 27, 30: Memorial Day Weekend, School Closed
• June 17: Early Dismissal
• June 22: Last Day of School, Early Dismissal

The district has built in four emergency closing days for the calendar year. Any necessary make-up days needed will be added to the calendar in place of Feb. 12, 15, May 27, April 1, March 31, or March 30. The order will be determined by the Board of Education when the time comes.
