MENDHAM, NJ — Following Wednesday's deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida, Mendham Township Police are sharing the training they've undergone to help keep schools safe.

In 2017, police assisted in 18 school security and lockdown drills in Township schools, and officers underwent over 125 hours of school safety training.

"Even with all of our training, we can never be too prepared and we are constantly working with our school‘s staff and administration, with who we have a great partnership with, regarding ways to update and better our schools security and active shooter protocols," police said in a Facebook post.
