Mendham's National Night Out Now Wednesday
Tropical Storm Isaia didn't cancel, only delayed the event.
MENDHAM, NJ - Mendham Township's National Night out event originally planned for Aug. 3 will not happen Wednesday, according to officials.
The original even was delayed due to Tropical Storm Isaia's landfall in the Garden State and subsequent destruction.
National Night Out is an event that is designed to enhance the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It is meant to provide an opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Usually celebrated the first Tuesday of August, this year many celebrations across America have been postponed to Oct. 6 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to officials Wednesday's event will feature displays and demonstrations by:

- Mendham Township Police Department
- Brookside Engine Fire Company
- Ralston Fire Company
- Mendham Township First Aid Squad.
The event will also feature:
- DJ entertainment
- Swimming at Brookside Beach
- Dinner from featured food trucks
- Dunk an officer for a cause
