New Principal Hired For Chester Middle School
Andrew T. White will take over principal duties at Black River Middle School.
CHESTER, NJ — Andrew T. White, an educator from Union County, has been hired as the next principal for Black River Middle School in Chester, the Chester School District announced.
White previously worked as a middle school assistant principal in the Kenilworth school district. He also worked as a Dean of Students and social studies teacher in Watchung.
“I am very proud to recommend Mr. White to our Board of Education, faculty, students and community as the next principal of Black River Middle School. We were immediately enthralled by Mr. White’s affable demeanor, his unquestionable commitment to middle school students and teachers, and his undaunted energy and enthusiasm for education,” Dr. Christina Van Woert, Superintendent of Schools, said in an announcement. “I have no doubt that Black River Middle
School students and faculty will continue to thrive under Mr. White’s leadership. He exudes all of the values we were searching for in a leader - a commitment to caring for each and every child in a manner that is respectful, encouraging and inspiring!”

White has a bachelors from Fairfield University and a masters from Kean University. He lives in Union County with his wife and two children.
