Video Shows NJ Man Throwing Ice, Allegedly Faking Fall For Money
A New Jersey man is accused of dumping a cup of ice and laying on the ground to fake a fall for insurance benefits, prosecutors say.

RANDOLPH, NJ — A Randolph man is on thin ice after prosecutors accused him of throwing ice on the ground and pretending to fall in order to file a bogus insurance claim. A video below captures the moment he took a spill.
Alexander Goldinsky, 57, of Randolph, faces several charges stemming from the 2018 incident, Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey said.
In the security video, Goldinsky can be seen filling up a cup with ice and dumping it on the ground. He throws the cup away before laying down next to the ice. According to Carey, Goldinsky waited there until someone else found him.

Goldinsky was working as a subcontractor at a business in Woodbridge when the incident happened, Carey said. Goldinsky is accused of purposefully spilling ice from a soda fountain on the ground and faking a fall in order to claim insurance benefits, Carey said.
"Fraudulent claims cost everyone and we will aggressively prosecute those who illegally manipulate the system," Carey said.

Goldinsky is accused of filing a false claims for an ambulance and treatment at a local hospital.
Goldinsky is charged with insurance fraud in the third degree and theft by deception in the third degree for fraudulently filing an insurance claim, Carey said. Goldinsky was released on a summons.
