No Newcomers File For Chester School Board Seats, But Write-In Needed
Three seats open on local school board, incumbent running for re-election on regional school board.
The Chester School District Board of Education will have a different face in 2016, but it’s too soon to tell who it will belong to.
As of the 4 p.m. deadline on Monday, July 27 to file petitions to run for board of education in the November Election, two incumbents sought re-election while a third did not.
Carolyn Kleppe Collins and Michael Tomasco are seeking three-year terms, while Christine Hofstetter will let her term expire on Dec. 31 of this year.

Three seats are up for grabs and only two names to vote on, which means a write-in candidate with the most votes will be appointed to the final seat.
On the West Morris Regional Board of Education, incumbent Donald Storms is running for re-election for the Chester Borough seat. Chester Township representatives Marcia Asdal and Gary Lakritz are not up for re-election.

Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
