Authorities said the woman was driving at "an excessive rate of speed" before the crash.

CHESTER, NJ — A New York woman has been charged after an investigation found her responsible for a high-speed crash in Chester that killed one and injured another, prosecutors said.

Police have charged Ana-Maria Ciofu, 26, of Brooklyn, in connection with a fatal car crash that occurred in Chester Township in August.

On Aug. 31, just before 6 p.m., Chester police were called to the intersection of US Highway 206 and Fox Chase Road on a report of a car crash with “severe injuries.”
