“This year’s orchid event has another added feature”, according to Stony Hill Gardens owner, Dale Davis, “with the addition of a wine tasting from Ventimiglia Vineyards in Wantage, New Jersey”.  The hand-crafted wine making of Ventimiglia Vineyards continues a family tradition, brought to this country from Italy at the turn of the last century.

The Stony Hill Gardens Orchid Open House & Wine Tasting Event is free and will feature a dazzling collection of beautiful orchid blooms on display grown at their greenhouse.

Over the years, says Davis, the event has attracted orchid lovers from throughout the tri-state area. Orchids are a popular house plant, he notes, although they sometimes can be challenging.  That is why the Stony Hill Gardens staff also conducts special lectures during the event on how to care for orchids and re-potting them. Orchids are becoming a real indoor flower favorite especially during the cold winters.
