Team Scores Big Goal In Fight Against Cancer
Randolph Power Soccer Team donates $2,500 check to help those dealing with cancer treatments.

The Randoph Power Soccer Team presented a check in the amount of $2,500 to the President and Founder of Peppermints & Ginger Comfort Kits as a tribute to women battling breast cancer.
Every October MassMutual donates money to cancer related organizations if two criteria are met. The first is that Pearls of Wisdom seminars be conducted during the month of October and there are a minimum of 25 women in attendance at any one of these seminars.
Catherine Montgomery, Insurance Advisor and Randolph Power soccer mom, and Eugen Velea, Certified Financial Planner, conducted a Pearls of Wisdom Seminar during the girl's soccer practice so that the moms and their friends could attend.

One of the soccer moms is currently battling breast cancer, so the seminar was a team effort designed to honor the struggle of both the mother and daughter. Additionally, The Randoph Power Soccer Team sold Gertrude Hawk chocolate bars and donated 15% of the profits to the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
The efforts of the team combined allowed them to make a $2,500 donation which will enable the organization to make more kits and help ease the effects of cancer treatments for many more patients.
