WATCH: Drone, K9 Unit Lead Morris Co. Sheriffs To Break-In Suspects

Authorities released drone footage showing the apprehension of three people suspected of breaking into a Morris County middle school.

CHESTER, NJ — Drone footage that led to the apprehension of break-in suspects in Chester has been released by the Morris County Sheriff’s Office.

In October, Morris County sheriffs were called to the area of Black River Middle School on reports that three young men had broken into the building.

When police arrived at the school, the three suspects had already left the area, officials said.

Police launched their drone and police dog, Axe, to locate the alleged trespassers, who were eventually caught.

The Morris County Sheriff's Office released the drone footage on Monday. Watch below:

Footage shows the K9 leading police towards a wooded area, and eventually the break-in suspects are seen lying prone in the woods.

The suspects were given several warnings to come out, or else Axe the police dog would bite them. Footage shows the suspects revealing themselves and making their way towards police.

The trio was charged with criminal trespassing and later processed and released to await court proceedings.

A sweep was conducted in Black River Middle School, and police found “nothing of concern.”
