• Metuchen blanks Spotswood - Jim Muldowney GMC Tournament, first round -Baseball recap (nj.com subscription) — Metuchen High’s baseball team shut out Spotswood 3-0 at home in the first round of the Jim Muldowney GMC Tournament, behind 15 strikeouts from pitcher James Fenton. The Bulldogs scored all three runs in the fifth and will now host South Plainfield in Wednesday’s quarterfinal, giving local fans another big home playoff game to catch.
