The Middlesex borough library will unveil 116 lawn signs on the front lawn at 11 a.m. this Saturday, November 11, Veterans Day.

MIDDLESEX BORO, NJ — The Middlesex borough library will unveil 116 lawn signs of veterans' names on the front lawn at 11 a.m. this Saturday, November 11, which is Veterans Day.

The signs will bear the names, pictures and awards/accomplishments of 116 veterans that reside or have resided in Middlesex Borough during their military service.

"In a small town like Middlesex, we wanted to bring the same idea to our residents in a way that families can gather and honor our military, take pictures with family, and show community support, engagement and gratitude," said Chrissy George, Middlesex borough library director.

"As far as I am aware, this is the first 'Legacy Lawn' in the state of New Jersey, and a beautiful, long lasting, accessible tribute tailor-made for a small, 'Hallmark-esque' hometown like Middlesex borough," she said.

The library did this with the John W. Lupu American Legion Post 306 and Middlesex mayor and council, to create a "Legacy Lawn." This is on one of Middlesex borough's most trafficked roads, to honor local veterans and current military.
