14th Annual Run to Remember Rumson Man Killed in 9/11

The 3-mile road race in Sea Bright will be March 12 to remember Keith McHeffey.

Sea Bright, NJ - The 14th annual Keith McHeffey Run is coming up on March 12 this year in Sea Bright.

McHeffey is a Rumson native who was killed in the 9/11 attacks when he worked as a trader with Cantor Fitzgerald. McHeffey attended Forrestdale Middle School in Rumson, was a graduate of Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School and worked at Donovan’s Reef in Sea Bright.

The 3-mile Fun Run and Walk is open to all: Kids, families and serious runners alike. Held in Sea Bright since 2002, the race usually draws a big crowd, and all the proceeds go to the KDM Foundation in order to support youth activities in the towns of Fair Haven, Rumson, and Sea Bright.
