200 Pounds Of Thanksgiving Food Donated To Middletown-Area Charities
Middletown Helps Its Own reported their list of needy families grew by more than 100 families this Thanksgiving.
MIDDLETOWN, NJ — For the fifth year in a row, IMA Urgent Care & Primary Care patients donated non-perishable Thanksgiving food items to three local Monmouth County non-profits.
Thanks to the generosity of IMA’s patients, IMA dropped off more than 200 bags of non-perishable food to Middletown Helps Its Own, RAINE Foundation and Lunch Break.
All three local charities said they saw an increase in the demand for Thanksgiving dinner items this year. For example, Middletown Helps Its Own reported their list of needy families grew by more than 100 families this Thanksgiving.

Through donations and volunteers from the local Middletown community, Middletown Helps Its Own was able to donate a Thanksgiving food box to everyone on their list.
Both Lunch Break and RAINE Foundation saw a similar growth in the amount of families in need this year as well.

“We are grateful that IMA’s patients are so generous. There is a definitive growth in assistance this year and as always, residents in Monmouth County stepped up to help their neighbors,” said IMA President Dr. Roger Thompson.
IMA consists of two urgent care centers and nine primary care offices in Monmouth County.
IMA is owned and operated by local physicians who live and practice in Monmouth County.
