2021 Middletown Elections: Who's Running, All The Ways To Vote

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — There are elections for school board, Township Committee and the Statehouse this fall in Middletown.

Unlike last year, where New Jersey voters were forced to vote only by mail, voters have many more ways to vote this year: Machine vote early from Oct. 23 - 31, vote on Nov. 2 Election Day or vote by mail.

1. Middletown Township Committee: Two seats up for election

• Current Mayor Tony Perry (Republican) is challenged by Democrat Rocky Rios.
• Kimberly Kratz is the Republican running alongside Perry, and she is running against Democrat Nicholas Babcock. Read: Rocky Rios Challenges Tony Perry For Middletown TC Seat

2. On the Middletown school board:

• Current BOE member Deborah Wright seeks re-election
• Current BOE president Joan Minnuies seek re-election
• Kate Farley and Jaime Sanacore are running as a slate. Brian Mason was running as well, but he dropped out and threw his support behind Farley/Sanacore

3. Statehouse race:

Middletown is part of Legislative District 13 and will be asked to either re-elect the current Republicans that represent this area in Trenton or vote in new Democrats. Read: Battle For NJ 13 Statehouse Seats

Election Day is Nov. 2. But a new change this year is if you want to vote by machine early, you can do so from Oct. 23 - Oct. 31 here:

• Middletown Township – Croydon Hall, 900 Leonardville Road, Leonardo

Hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.

If you'd prefer to vote by mail, there are two secure ballot drop box locations in Middletown:

• Middletown Twp. Municipal Bldg. 1 Kings Hwy. Middletown 07748
• Croydon Hall 900 Leonardville Rd. Leonardo 07737

Vote-by-mail ballots must be postmarked or placed in drop boxes on or before 8 p.m. on Nov. 2, Election Day.
