$500 Health Care Scholarship

$500 Health Care Scholarship Awarded to Middletown High School North Graduating Senior

Newman Springs Dental Care awarded Colette Lichtenstein the $500 scholarship for a Middletown Township High School North graduating senior planning a career in health care. This included medicine, nursing, dentistry, chiropractic, physical therapy, and other areas of healthcare.

Colette will be attending the New Jersey Institute of Technology in the fall where she plans on studying premed.

The award was presented by Dr. Mitchel Friedman of Newman Springs Dental Care on June 7th at the school’s Senior Awards Assembly. This is the 9th year that the scholarship has been awarded.

Newman Springs Dental Care is a dental practice in Lincroft dedicated to providing general, cosmetic and sedation dentistry to the citizens of Middletown and surrounding areas. “There were several excellent candidates who were worthy of the scholarship, Colette’s essay was the most compelling” said Dr. Mitchel Friedman, a 1976 graduate of the township public school system. Dr. Friedman’s mother, Sheila Friedman Rubin, taught in Middletown her entire career.
