90-Minute COVID Tests Now Available In Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — State health experts say we're officially in a second wave of the coronavirus, but in some good news, rapid results COVID tests are now available in Middletown.

These tests are available at Middletown Family Pharmacy in Belford. You will get results within 90 minutes of taking the test, which is done through a nasal swab.

You also don't need to go inside the pharmacy to get tested: You sit in your car and are tested in your car. Testing is by online appointment only with results within 90 minutes. The pharmacy has designated parking spots that allow patients to be tested with minimal contact.

This is rapid COVID-19 antigen testing, which tests for the presence of a viral infection.

“The community pharmacist has become a health partner for better wellness," said Brian Harris, Pharm.D., the owner of Middletown Family Pharmacy. "Especially with the onset of the COVID-19 virus, it is important to be tested quickly.”

The test costs $95 with many insurance companies offering reimbursement. Middletown Family Pharmacy is open seven days a week for the testing.
