97 Percent Of Middletown COVID Patients Fully Recovered: Twp.

MIDDLETOWN, NJ — As of Monday, April 27, there are 411 COVID-19 cases in Middletown. But 97 percent of those diagnosed with COVID-19 in Middletown have fully recovered, according to Middletown Township.

Additionally, 876 Middletown residents were tested and came back negative.

As of Monday, Holmdel has 178 cases, and Hazlet has 230.

The total number of COVID cases in Monmouth County is 5,798, but the vast majority of those have also recovered.

There were only 57 new positive cases reported countywide Monday, a steep drop from where we were just one week ago, when the county was averaging 100 new cases every day. Monmouth County officials also said the positive case numbers are coming in from the Dept. of Health much earlier, which may account for the smaller number of new cases.

Twelve people have died from COVID-19 in Middletown so far, and those 12 deaths include residents in Middletown nursing homes/long-term care facilities.
