Basking Ridge, N.J. (February 5, 2016) – Affinity Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Dr. Lauretta A. Farrell, Executive Director of the Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation, has become accredited as a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) after being guided by dedicated program facilitators and mentors through the intensive Credit Union Development Education (DE) Training from the National Credit Union Foundation (the Foundation).
Lauretta is one of 46 credit union professionals who just became certified last month at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas. She joins a prestigious group of more than 1,400 graduates across America and 34 other countries.
“An intensive, immersive, hands-on experience, DE training opened my eyes to the real impact credit unions can have in breaking the cycle of poverty, which is a critical concern of mine,” says Dr. Farrell. “This training reminded me of the positive impact credit union team members have in the communities we serve.”
